How Running A Half Marathon (That I Had No Desire To Run) Changed My Life Forever
Last Sunday I ran the America’s Finest City Half Marathon in San Diego. It was the 10th year anniversary of me running my very first half marathon… which happened to be this very race. I committed to running my first half marathon 10 years ago in honor of my dad, who at the time, was in the fight of his life, a fight he would lose 3 months later to cancer. I’m Done With Running When I ran my first half marathon 10 years ago, I had no intention of running any other races. 10 years later, I’ve ran 11 half marathons, 2 full marathons, 1 ultra marathon (A 50 miler), and countless 5K races and other fitness events such as Spartan races. So much for no intention on running any other races. What changed? I changed. What I thought changed. How I felt changed. What I... read more

10 Blueprints On How To Make A Difference & Change The World
As a kid, I loved superheros. Everyone from Superman, Batman, Spider-Man, He-Man, Snoopy. OK, maybe Snoopy wasn’t a super hero but I still thought he was cool. Superheros were awesome and when things went wrong, they were there to make things better. I always wanted to be able to make things better. I Wanted To Make A Difference I figured the only way to do that, to make a difference, make things better, was to become a superhero. I was willing to do anything to make it happen too… buy a cape, exercise everyday to build superhero muscles and strength, even go to superhero school, l mean seriously, anything. Although I never attended superhero school (does that even exist?), I have however attended World Domination Summit for the past three years which is technically like attending superhero school. Attending #WDS2016 this year (superhero school if you will) helped... read more

How To Stay Motivated (More With Mike Podcast)
How do I stay motivated? That’s got to be the question I get asked the most by my clients. How do we stay motivated? How do we stay motivated when the goal we’re after seems so distance? Where does motivation come from and how can we create more of it ti achieve our goals? Episode 012: How To Stay Motivated In order to answer that, I think it’s best if we first define what motivation is. I hear the following phrases all the time when it comes to motivation… “I can’t seem to motivate myself to go to the gym and workout.” “I just don’t have the motivation I know I need to have to lose weight.” “It’s been a month and I’ve lost 6 pounds although I just don’t have the motivation to keep going to lose 20 more pounds. “I want to run a marathon... read more
